California One Care: California One Care is an online organizing network that exists to activate and empower people like you into a grassroots and netroots movement for universal health care in California.

California-Pacific Conference of the UMC: the regional organizing body of the United Methodist Church in Southern California, Hawaii, Guam & Saipan.

Cal-Pac Immigration Task Force: A United Methodist group in the California-Pacific region working with churches to advocate and organize for the basic human rights of all immigrants,  organize free legal counseling and develop and provide resource materials.

California People of Faith Working Against the Death Penalty: An organization working to educate and mobilize faith communities to act to abolish the death penalty in California.

Churches for Middle East Peace: A coalition of public policy offices of national churches and agencies — Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant, who seek to maintain an on-going dialogue with Congress, the Administration and the diplomatic community, to advance such concerns, assessments, and advocacy positions.

Clergy & Laity United for Economic Justice: An interfaith association of over 600 religious leaders throughout Los Angeles County who come together to respond to the crisis of the working poor.

Climate Reality Action Fund: A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded by Nobel Laureate and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Using targeted public advocacy campaigns through grassroots organizing and lobbying, the Action Fund represents a commitment to the bold action necessary to solve the climate crisis.

Creating a Culture of Peace: a nonviolent training program for personal and social change.

End the Occupation: This campaign aims to “end US policies that sustain Israel’s occupation of Palestine and deny equal rights for all.”

Faithful Reform in Health Care: A project to help people of faith move beyond cable news interpretations of health care reform to intentional reflection and conversation based on the faith-inspired values that give meaning to the lives we share together.

Healthcare Now!: True reform of our health insurance system: affordable healthcare, accountability for insurance companies and more.

International Day of Peace: Plan a peace event for your church or community. Resources are available for large and small gatherings and vigils for peace.

Laane, A New Economy for All: A leading advocacy organization dedicated to building a new economy for all by combining research, public policy, and the organizing of broad alliances.

National Religious Campaign Against Torture: A membership organization committed to ending U.S.-sponsored torture, and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment.

National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty:  Their mission is to abolish the death penalty in the United States and support efforts to abolish the death penalty worldwide.

The Peace Center: Peace Kids and the Youth Leadership Academy in Peacemaking are excellent opportunities to educate a new generation of peacemakers. Presented by the Peace Center in United University Church (Los Angeles).

Progressive Christians Uniting: an interfaith organization that engages people and communities to embody Jesus’ way of compassion and justice for our world.

Reconciling Ministries Network: a Christian and United Methodist organization that mobilizes United Methodists of all sexual orientations and gender identities to transform our Church and world into the full expression of Christ’s inclusive love.

Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice: a broad-based, national, interfaith movement that brings the moral force of religion to protect and advance reproductive health, choice, rights and justice through education, prophetic witness, pastoral presence and advocacy.

Restorative Justice & Healing Communities: A way for United Methodist congregations to become “Stations of Hope” for those persons affected by the criminal-justice system. By utilizing existing resources within congregations, Healing Communities emphasizes that good theology can become an engaged missiology.

United Methodists’ Holy Land Task Force: A UMC group who seeks to promote peace, justice and reconciliation in the Holy Land through prayer, study, giving, engagement, and advocacy.

United Methodist Kairos Response:  a global peace movement in the United Methodist church answering the urgent call from Palestinian Christians for effective action to end the Israeli occupation and achieve a just peace in the Holy Land.
